The Diploma Programme

 
 

Is designed for highly motivated students aged 16 to 19.


Offers a unique and challenging experience by focusing on six specific subject areas, as well as teaching the Theory of Knowledge, supporting students as they write an extended essay.


Is taught in a two-year course that allows for in-depth, longterm study leading to externally assessed examinations.


Uses a system of evaluation in which every student’s performance is measured against well-defined, consistent levels of achievement applied equally to all IB schools.


Develops critical thinking skills.


Requires a second language.


Fosters intercultural understanding and respect.


Positions students to tackle global issues.


Serves as an entrance qualification to universities in countries all over the world.

THE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

 


The Diploma Programme (DP) is the basis for education for children aged 16 through 19. Since its inception almost 40 years ago, the DP has proven to be a perfect preparation for university life and beyond.
